Hurricane Ike 8:09
We’ve just had our electricity flash on and off. It only lasted a second but I didn’t like it much. I’m hoping to get through a good part of the night before we loose our juice. I’m fond of my air conditioner. The wind is picking up. As I sit here typing I can hear the wind whipping up the large bush outside the window. I guess that’s what it is. It’s all that is out there. It’s dark now. Hurricanes are like babies. They always seem to come at night. Ike is no different.
That’s the update. Not very interesting but it’s all I’ve got. I guess that is good news.

I’m guessing without the updates you’ve lost power, hang in there, I’m watching Houston on CNN right now. They’re expecting 10 inches of rain.

Well, I see the blogging stop. I guess other things are taking priority now!! Hope you stocked up on more than snacks, cause they’re probably gone by now. LOL You may need real food if the power is out for long. Four years ago we were out of power for two days, and that was good compared to some other neighborhhoods. We’ll let us know as soon as you can how you weathered Ike. Buy the way, how did Mom make out in New Orleans with Gustav?? What a year! and it’s not over yet!! kinda scary.

I was watching Janice play poker last night and she lost her connection for a while and she never came back on to Yahoo messenger. I’m thinking they ended up with no power.
