A good quote
I love this quote:

It really makes me think about poker. The external forces are the other players and lady luck. It’s how we respond to them that matters. The statement at the end really got me and it’s something that I need to remember. I think we often experience a bunch of bad beats and it starts getting to us and can affect my game. It is up to me to control how it affects me.
I’ve been playing a lot of Omaha h/l. I played 2 tourneys yesterday and in both every single time I had a big hand and was putting a lot of chips in the pot the river paired and I lost to a boat. I could have lost it and stormed and stomped around and screamed I’d never play the game again. I knew I’d played correctly ….. I just got beat. That is the nature of the game.
Recently I’d been on a very bad run in NL. I was having bad beat after bad beat. I didn’t respond to that as well. I let it make me mad. I let it get me down. I let it hurt my game. The difference was I let it affect my self confidence in my game. I allowed the bad beats to get to me.
This quote helped me see the difference in my behavior. I will remember it.
